Phoenix Job Corps is excited to announce Julio Meza has been accepted to the Cassadega Job Corps Center for LPN Advanced Training Program.

“My mother always told me, “Julio you are going to do something great!” Whether it was an astronaut, president or doctor she has always encouraged me to aspire to greatness.”

After graduating from High School Julio tried to attend college but due to circumstances was unable and entered into the workforce.  “In my job at Arby’s advancement possibilities were available but my mom knew i could accomplish more and suggested the Job Corps program.  I was skeptical at first but applied and was accepted.  In the beginning I had aplied to the A+ techinical trade but a tour to the medical floor changed my mind.  I sent a letter asking the team manager, Mr. Shephard, to allow me into the trade and he accepted me into the CNA program.  Once in the CNA program I learned invaluable skills that helped me grow and understand my role as a helath care provider.  I applied to the Licnsed Practical Nurse (LPN) advanced training program and although I was uncertain about my chances, I was accepted.”

“I am excited about my future!  “I encourage all who read this to strive to be better! Never stop growing or learning.  I plan to finish the LPN program and work as I study to be a Registered Nurse.  After that Julio Fernando Meza…Pediatrician.”

We at the Phoenix Job Corps are very proud and excited about Julio’s future and wish him the very best.  Maybe one day he will come back and talk to the students about his accomplishments.
