Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia Job Corps Life Science Institute, Nursing Assistant, Charlis Rice-Jones, a former participant in the Bridges program was (one among three students) acknowledged at the Employer Recognition Reception September 16th.  Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter presented opening remarks thanking the Marriott  Foundation and all the employers for their support of the Bridges from school to work program.   In addition, Marriott Foundation Chair, Richard E. Marriott gave acknowledgments and shared the “Marriott” story and the values behind the Bridges from school to work program. Employer Recognition Reception pays tribute to individuals and employers in the Philadelphia area who have made exceptional contributions to Bridges from school to work program and it honors all who have participated in the program, especially young adults making achievements against all odds.
