Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Job Corps Life Science Institute, on November 11, held a Veteran’s Day luncheon honoring our Veterans from a variety of military branches. The room and tables were decorated in patriotic themes including an array of memorabilia representing the military branch each staff served. Our esteemed center veterans included: Mr. Upshur [Air force] Ms. Hill [Navy] Mr. Goree [Marine Corps] Mr. Pietro [Army], Mr. Hammond [Army] Mr. Coleman [Army] Mr. Warrington [Army], and Mr. Wilborn [Army] Mr. Gillard [Navy] and Ms. Reyes [Army]. Decoratively flyers were posted throughout the center in salute of all veterans. Special tokens of appreciation were placed on the tables. The luncheon including a delectable assortment of ‘healthy’ foods, tasty even for the most finicky palate was in a buffet spread like a pre-Thanksgiving feast. Thank you notes and a free lunch ticket were given to each veteran. The center director, Ms. Lewis addressed the veterans with honor and thanks in recognition of their time served for our country. This event was sponsored by our center DIVERSE team.
