Philadelphia, PA – November 22nd was skaters choice. Students and staff kept it moving rolling round or about in  single formation or partner in choreographic motion on wheels.  Creative smooth moves on wheels were demonstrated with minimal bumps or falls.  Single swirls, twists, backward moves or waltz were sobering reminders of the good old days for staff, meanwhile a gym work out substitute for many and simply something new to try for others. 96 students hard work paid off rolling up to the big score in math and/or reading.  Students who received a 600 or better on their TABE score in math or reading were rewarded by going on a skating trip.  And students are inducted into the 600 club once they reach 600 and higher.  The club serves as a venue to encourage those students who have worked hard as well as providing an incentive benchmark for others to achieve.  Staff and students had a wonderful time skating together. Students are looking forward to their return to tutoring other students to help them roll up increasing their scores.
