(Philadelphia, PA)- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) held their 33rd employee recognition ceremony today. Philadelphia Job Corps nursing assistant instructor, Josephine Velez, LPN, was more than delighted to attend this ceremony and equally proud to be a contributor on the green jobs partnership team. “Through collaborative efforts with DOL a great work was achieved for our students; it was all worthwhile” says Josephine.
Ms. Velez along with other vocational instructors participated in the successful completion of “creating a partnership between the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Labor (DOL) Job Corps Centers that resulted in the nationwide implementation of ‘green’ environmental curriculum –specific to the nursing assistant trade and for the Training Achievement Record (TAR)”. In addition, at the ceremony various team entities were recognized for their hard work, contributions, and impact, such as, the Natural Gas Extraction Team, the Bankruptcy Team: Other honor award entities include, EEO Award, Public Service Award; and the Combined Federal Campaign Award to name a few. Ms. Velez, thank you!
