Philadelphia, PA – Counseling Manager, Stephanie Brown, guest of the hour, spreads the Philadelphia Job Corps education mission with style and grace on the Telemundo network, the local “En Portada” show. “En Portada” is a weekly half hour Spanish –language public affairs program airing weekends at various times. The show explores a variety of topics of interest to the Delaware Valley’s Latino community. The magazine style program features one-on-one interviews with local guests and is aimed to educate, inform, entertain and empower the viewer.  The opportunity to share Philadelphia Job Corps program and initiatives with Telemundo viewers and the community at-large is invaluable. The host, Fernandez Mendez, desired to conduct the interview in Spanish entirely.  So, he spoke in Spanish and I answered in English and in Spanish, Wow!!” No doubt this articulate counseling manager would speak on behalf of Job Corps students again and again. In addition, the show talks about companies that are making a difference in the local community and highlights local Hispanic personalities. Job Corps was presented as the education and training solution for youth ranging between the ages of 17-24 who have no interest in attending school.
