12/13/11. To the delight of all Santa made a guest appearance at the annual Penobscot Student Christmas luncheon. The dining commons was abuzz with holiday cheer as Santa craftily carved a hefty portion of glazed ham for every member of the Penobscot community. Many students smiled and laughed as they had their picture taken with the very tall and jolly St. Nick.  Food Service Manager Tim Cyr was particular proud, as this special ham was from a “secret” recipe that has been handed down for generations in the Cyr family. Other fixins included roast turkey w/cranberry sauce, stuffing and gravy, mashed potatoes, candied yams, fresh baked dinner rolls, a vegetable medley and garden salad w/ assorted dressings. As is the tradition staff served the students buffet style, as well as, delivering refreshments and deserts directly to their tables.  The young people showed their appreciation with rousing applause as the luncheon came to a close.
