On Friday, October 21, 2011, the students and staff of the Penobscot Job Corps Academy  participated in Community Service projects throughout Eastern Maine in conjuction with America’s largest day of service, Make A Difference Day (Saturday, October 22, 2011).  Penobscot welding instructor Mike Collins and his students volunteered at the  Bangor Parks & Recreation department. They raked and weeded flower beds at the Main Street office site and cleaned selected city parks.
