Paul Simon Chicago’s Carpentry Instructors Randy Wuestenberg & Ana Figueroa attended the Italian American Labor Council honoring “Man of the Year” Gary Peninar  Executive Secretary- Treasurer this week end.
They had  wonderful conversation with Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot.  They introduce ourselves as the Carpentry Instructors at Paul Simon Job Corps and shared how they are helping our students begin their careers as Union Carpenters They also shared with her how our students participated in community service work for Misericordia’s Family Fest for the past 19 years. The Mayor thought that was wonderful.
Major Lightfoot seemed very interested and said that she will make it a point to visit our campus in the near future.
