Jason Dreis, Regional Coordinator at TCU/IAM, Advanced Transportation Training Program, spoke to the Chicago Job Corps students about the opportunity they have to attend the advanced training program. Advance training is offered at Job Corps campuses around the country. Students will build on the basic skills, learn at an accelerated pace and gain additional experience and credentials that will help them stand out to potential employers. Students also have access to training and academic classes with local community colleges and/or technical institutions through partnerships with the Job Corps campuses. Advanced training is offered in the areas of: Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive and Machine Repair, Homeland Security, Hospitality, Information Technology, Construction, Finance and Business, Healthcare, Renewable Resources and energy and Transportation.
