The student employees of the Paul Simon Chicago Job Corps Center attended a community service event for Raise A Hand Illinois (RAHI) sponsored by the Illinois State Lottery and WGCI 107.5 FM Clear Channel Radio at the Sherman Elementary School, Chicago, Illinois.   The Raise A Hand Illinois has a continuing mission of promoting scholastic achievement by sponsoring book fairs throughout th state of Illinois.  The students assisted by unpacking books, converting a classroom into a library and preparing for the book fair.  All of the students and volunteers received T-shirts.  One student won tickects to the Chicago Bulls game and  another student won tickets to the Lil Wayne concert in a drawing for all volunteers.   The event was an enriching experience and rewarding for the students knowing they helped for a worthy cause.  Lets read Illinois!
