On September 16, 2023, Paul Simon Chicago Job Corps students and staff participated in the annual Little village chamber of Commerce Mexican independence day parade. The parade’s theme “Tu Mexico, Tu Chicago” focused on Mexican identity and culture with an emphasis on representing each state in Mexico. Every float represented the different states in Mexico, showcasing the many Mexican traditions and culture that reside not just in Little Village but all over the city of Chicago and beyond. Paul Simon Chicago Job Corps had the privilege to represent the state of Guanajuato. The center van was colorfully decorated to depict the beautiful endless colorful buildings in Guanajuato!
