The Old Dominion Job Corps Center is ensuring the health and safety of both staff and students

The Old Dominion Job Corps Center is ensuring the health and safety of both staff and students, only a small cohort of 8 students is scheduled bi-weekly. Students identified to return are those which were near to completion and graduation prior to COVID break in March or needing safe and dependable residential services. To date, the Old Dominion Job Corps Center has nearly 24 on-campus students. Some of these students have remained at the Center since March 2020, because they were either homeless or did not have appropriate, safe housing to return to when the U.S. Department of Labor announced students would return to their home of records.
Old Dominion Job Corps Center has a highly trained and enthusiastic team who support our students. Staff numbers approximately 134 staff, comprised of education/career instructors, administrators, counselors, dorm advisors, food service, security, and health and wellness nurses and a mental health counselor. Residential staff (some pictured below) work in shifts to ensure 24 hour staff coverage for student needs, also ensuring all Center COVID protocols including masks and social distancing and CDC guidelines are followed. The dorms are exceptionally clean, an environment for our students to feel respected, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
