On October 2nd, 2021, in Lynchburg, VA at the Riverfront Park, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention had the “Out of the Darkness” walk. Since we were not able to go to the actual event, we conducted our own walk, socially distanced, in memory of those friends, relatives, and associates that are going through a great deal on Friday, October 1st, 2021. ALL students and staff were invited to participate, as we prepared the beads, making earrings, keychains, and bracelets, and walk the campus in memory of their loved ones. In an effort to remember the names of those loved ones lost, Mr. Fister, accompanied by his family and friends, walked the route and called out the names of those, who were listed on his shirt.
