What is a Carpenter? Most people think we just build houses…but as a United Brotherhood of Carpenters member we can do this and much more. We are Welders, Commercial Divers, Bridge Builders, Pile Drivers, Millwrights, Interior System Specialist, Cabinet/Millworkers, Roofers, and Floor Layers, just to name a few. The UBC offers training for all of these along with more than eighty other areas of expertise, and it is available to all of our members. The UBC Carpentry Pre-Apprenticeship Program at Old Dominion Job Corps Center is the first step of joining one trade with many careers.
