Standard Utility Construction, Inc. representative Kathi Standish and other SUC spoke to a group of North Texas Job Corps students who are enrolled in diverse construction career technical training programs. Standish is the vice president of marketing of this family-owned business. She told the NTJCC students that SUC is hiring and always has opportunities waiting for persons interested in working for the company. The students had a barrage of questions from “What are the company expectations of their employees?” and “What is the salary?” to “How do you advance?”
Standish noted that SUC has worked with another Job Corps center in Texas and that she was very familiar with the Job Corps program. She also shared success stories of Job Corps students who became successful SUC employees. She also explained how to complete and submit an online application.
