The Northlands Job Corps Center recently took a student poll to decide on our mascot. We had been known as the Northlands Bulldogs, but felt it was time for a re-branding, a new identity. The students took a vote during an assembly and we are now known as the Northlands Huskies. We soon went to work creating our logo. Our SHRO, John Berry, worked on creating many different logos until, with staff input, we finalized a couple. The first Northlands Job Corps Huskies swag we created was T-shirts with our new logo. Our Advanced Welding instructor, Jim Blanchard, also went to work creating a metal husky sign that now hangs in our Academics building. We are hoping to have more Northlands swag available soon, for our current and future Huskies!
WE ARE – Northlands Huskies!
