Tops in Trees
Northlands students show their mettle with wood. Four Urban Forestry students make a clean sweep of the top honors at this year’s competition. The annual conference and trade show was held in Charlotte North Carolina put on by the Tree Care Industry Association, formerly known as the National Arborist Association. The show and competition ran from November 14-16, the “Student Career Days” included a skills and knowledge competition open to students enrolled in arboriculture and forestry related programs. This year eleven schools were represented and were broken down into categories for vocational schools, universities and women/men. Northlands was represented by the following students who gave it their best and proved what can be accomplished with hard work and dedication.

Stephan Moore of Newark NJ took 1^st place overall.

Josiah Nolan of Danbury CT, 2^nd place.

Justin Wilt of Swanzey NH, 3^rd place.

Roger Bogdahn, of Londonderry NH, 4^th place while finishing 1^st in three of five events.
