Northlands students have come out in force to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The Vergennes Memorial Day Parade sponsored by the American Legion saw an amazing float constructed and designed by Northlands students and staff. Out of a crowded field, it took 3rd place for its solemn homage to the United States military.

Later, the group, Ladies of Success (LOS), spent time in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes to help plant beautiful flower beds. Sue Clark, from DEL-JEN, coordinated the event with assistance from LOS advisor, JamieLee Kiley. The hard- working group was rewarded by many favorable compliments from visitors to the cemetery.
