The Bixby Library in Vergennes, Vermont is one of the most historic public buildings in the state. Its stunning architecture has captivated visitors for a century. With a central rotunda featuring a stained glass dome overhead, it’s a very impressive building.
That’s why after vandals wrote graffiti on an interior wall, Northlands Facilities Maintenance students Jason Lewis and Luis Quinones volunteered to repaint the section. When they were done, Jason asked the library’s director, “What else do you have?”
Sure enough, the historic Vermont Room had received some paint damage after a recent art exhibit. Jason quickly went to work and repainted the pockmarked wall. The director was grateful for the assistance, appreciating the students’ eager willingness to help.
