Days after their first win of the season, the Northlands Bulldogs basketball team was practicing drills with their new coach, BJ Robertson. BJ has coached AAU basketball for six years and believes strongly in mastering the basics of the sport.

“I try to teach the fundamentals that are so critical in a team’s success,” he said. “Talent alone is not enough.”

He says he is excited about the Bulldog’s prospects in the competitive men’s league.

“I see a lot of raw talent here,” he said. “They are willing to work hard to improve. Things are looking good.”
