New Orleans Job Corps recent “Night Out Against Crime'” event brought together the Center with the surrounding Hollygrove neighborhood and received news coverage from WGNO-TV ABC 26. Food, face painting for kids and a live DJ were among the night’s activities for an event that drew representatives from the New Orleans City Council and the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office.

National Night Out Against Crime activities are dedicated to the development and promotion of various crime prevention programs including neighborhood watch groups, law enforcement agencies, state and regional crime prevention associations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals, devoted to safer communities.

The nations premiere crime prevention network works with law enforcement officials and civilian leaders to keep crime watch volunteers informed, interested, involved and motivated.  As a national group member of the Crime Prevention Coalition, National Night Out Againts Crime effort supports the McGruff “Take a Bite Out of Crime” campaign.
