The World Affairs Council of New Hampshire reached out to New Hampshire Job Corps to host delegates of Tajikistan. The group of delegates are upcoming leaders in their country and are looking to improve upon youth programming. Tajilkiastan has a very large youth population. The delegates were amazed by the program; many of them left speechless. They are looking forward to implementing some Job Corps practices in their country.
Dilnoza Gulamdzhonovna Dzhumaeva, Adolescent and Youth Mentor, was very focused on how we work with students with accommodations. She is a disability champion in her country. She was impressed by our ADA rooms, adjustable tables in classrooms and how we are able to individualize services for students. At the end of the tour in the recreation building, we caught a glimpse of the talent of Laylo Khalimova. She is a member of the Tajikistan’s National Women’s Soccer team and won MVP three times. She was very impressive with the soccer ball.
New Hampshire Job Corps Center staff look forward to hosting another group of delegates from World Affairs Council of New Hampshire and to continue to spread the philosophy of Job Corps.
