New Hampshire Job Corps students’ were an integral part of disaster exercise at Manchester Boston Regional Airport in New Hampshire. Fifteen students from NH Job Corps Homeland Security, Certified Medical Assistant, and Facility Maintenance programs were invited to participate in a large full-scale disaster exercise designed to test emergency response functions and roles at the Manchester Boston Regional Airport. Seventy-Five agencies in all, participated in the day long exercise. NH Job Corps students were triaged and taken to area hospitals (Elliot, Catholic Medical Center and Parkland Medical Center for treatment of wounds and injuries.

The Manchester Airport Fire Department provided breakfast and lunch to all participants and the students got quite a learning experience about emergency services and emergency procedures. Homeland Security and Emergency Management personnel have invited NH Job Corps to participate in future training exercises.
