In honor of Black History Month Muhlenberg Job Corps Center held an essay contest for students to share the leader of their choosing. Student Ariel McLaughin pictured above wrote his about Malcolm X stating his actions with the Civil Rights Movement and his association with Dr. Martin Luther King had made an impact on his life encouraging him to become a motivational speaker. For winning the contest Ariel was awarded a $50 prize. Ariel wrote “……fight for what’s right and let people know, yet we still fight against others, we are all still equal and have equal rights.” Congratulations Ariel and thank you for your participation!
