On February 28th, staff and students of the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center participated in the Penguin Plunge which is a fund raising event for the Muhlenberg County 4-H Food for Kids Backpack Program. The funds raised helps feed approximately 731 youth in the county. Foods to supply a weekly backpack for one student for the school year costs $100. Their goal was to reach $73,000 and they are still taking donations. Through dollar jean days and a bake sales, MJCC raised $350 enough to feed three students! Representing MJCC to take the icy plunge are Academic Instructor, Jon McCay and Student Government students Jeffrey Scohera and Kassie Hartman.
