Muhlenberg Job Corps students donated a large box of toys to the Muhlenberg County School System’s Children Resource Center.  Sally Washburn, a Family Resource Center specialist, came to the Muhlenberg campus to pick up a large box of toys collected by the Job Corps students.  Ashley Gilbert, a Muhlenberg student, had the original idea of donating toys for the upcoming holiday season to school students in the Muhlenberg County school system.  The idea caught fire and in a short time a large box of toys had been collected for the area students in need.

Washburn said, “It is hearwarming to know students at the local Job Corps center wanted to help children in need in the Muhlenberg County area.  This is what the holiday season is all about!”  The toys donated will be distributed to area Family Resource Centers at the five elementary schools in the county.  Washburn said, “With the economy running on empty, every donation means a lot to our children in Muhlenberg County.”
