Peer Counselors at the Muhlenberg Job Corps presented a check to the West Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross for six hundred and five dollars to be used for the Japanese Relief Effort and the local Red Cross Heroes Campaign. Terri Griffin, Branch Office Manager for the West Kentucky Chapter of the American Red Cross, accepted the check. Students raised the money by promoting a dress down day at the campus. They obtained permission from the center director to have a day where students could be out of dress code if they paid a two dollar fee to do so, staff paid three dollars. The event was very successful and in turn helped the needy residents of Japan and the local residents of Muhlenberg county.
