Muhlenberg Job Corps Supports The Childrens Fund

The City of Greenville was invaded with Zombies during the first annual Zombie Walk around the Courthouse Square on October 22nd.  Main Street Costume owners, Clint and Lori Cobb, held the first ever Zombie Walk to raise money for the Muhlenberg County Childrens’ Fund, an organization that supports chronically and critically ill children in the Muhlenberg County area.

Twelve MCDC students worked with employees of Main Street Costumes painting faces, registering contestants and selling snack bar items which helped raise over $1,600 for the worthy cause.  Five hundred Zombies registered for the first ever event.  Lori and Clint said, The event garnered more participants than they had expected for the first year.  The help of the Job Corps students greatly contributed to the success of the event.”   Over 1500 spectators came to the Courthouse Square to see all the ghostly creatures.  Everyone looks forward to an even bigger event next year.
