Robert Harger found his life spiraling out of control when one day he learned about the free training opportunities offered through the Job Corps program. He decided to enroll into the heavy truck driving course at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center to obtain his Class B license. His trade instructors were so impressed with his knowledge and skill, they encouraged him further to obtain his Class A license before graduating.
Harger is now employed with Brewco Marketing Group where he has the opportunity to drive over the road for the very first Baseball Hall of Fame Tour. He shared that he is not only “just a driver” but also a brand ambassador. He is responsible for knowing the history of the artifacts he carries and assists customers with operating the high tech interactive exhibits. Harger couldn’t hide his excitement as he mentioned he’s had the opportunity to meet several members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
Harger said, “I am very thankful for Job Corps, Muhlenberg Job Corps saved me. I’m sharing my story with friends and family in hopes to help save them too. I now see that not only is anything possible, but everything is possible.”
