Muhlenberg Job Corps Success Story

On February 1,2016 Kyle Martell, from Clearfield, Pennsylvania arrived at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center with a passion to turn his life around.  At first, Kyle wasn’t confident that he would make it in the Job Corps program and wanted to leave right after he arrived on campus.  He knew if he left, he wouldn’t have any resources to survive.

Kyle chose to complete the heavy truck driving Class B licensing course and passed successfully. He made a strong impression on his instructors, so they guided him in the direction of obtaining his Class A licensure to tackle over the road trucking opportunities.  Kyle was one of the four students to pass Class A and was called o drive for a six months trial basis with Brewco Marketing.   He is currently driving over the road for the Kroger tour.

The center received an email from Kyle’s mother stating, “so many people expected Kyle to fail the program, but he did not and the change in him has been miraculous!  He persevered, pushed through, and he is a changed young man.  Thank you from a grateful mother, Laura Martell.”
