Muhlenberg Job Corps Students Participate In Celebrate the Child Day

Muhlenberg Job Corps students participated in Celebrate the Child Day in Hartford, Kentucky at the Ohio County High School.  The annual event draws 2500 to 3000 participants each year.  The event  provides great activities for families such as: live bands, puppet shows, bounce houses, balloon animals, animals from the Louisville Zoo and carnival type games.  Muhlenberg’s Step Team and Military Club helped with welcoming guests, worked in the activities booth at the mini-carnival and interviewed on a live radio broadcast.

During breaks in the activities the Muhlenberg Step Team would conduct one of their lively performances to entertain the crowd.  The Muhlenberg Military Club opened the ceremony with a presentation of the American flag.  This annual event is sponsored by Ohio County Together We Care.  The event brings families together for a day of fun, food, games and educational activities on topics such as healthy life styles and healthy eating habits.  Muhlenberg students working at the event got to visit with the PHI Life Flight attendants.  PHI agreed to bring their helicopter to the Muhlenberg Job Corps campus and speak to the Health Careers students.  Celebrate the Child Day was funfilled and educational for all who attended.
