Muhlenberg Job Corps students held a blood drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross on Wednesday, November 16th.  The drive was sponsored by the Wellness Advocates at the Job Corps center.  Students and staff donated 70 pints of blood.  Muhlenberg holds three to four blood drives each year and total donations usually exceed 200 pints for the year. 

Becky Hall, Muhlenberg Wellness Manager said, “Our students love supporting Red Cross blood drives.  We always have more students sign up to give blood than can actually be processed.”  Muhlenberg Job Corps studens have also donated over $1,200 dollars to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in 2011.  The Job Corps center was recently awarded the Heroes Award given annually by the Red Cross to local businesses who donate $1,000 or more in a year to the worthy causes
