Muhlenberg Job Corps Students Clean Up Rails To Trails

Muhlenberg Job Corps students conducted a community service activity and cleaned a six mile stretch of the Muhlenberg County Rails to Trails.  The popular walking trail stretches from Central City to Greenville attracts many local residents throughout the year for walking, biking and roller blading.

Cody Perry, Recreation Supervisior at Muhlenberg, took a group of students to the trail for the massive clean up project.  Perry said, “The trail is widely used by our local residents.  The students at the Muhlenberg Job Corps wanted to make a contribution to our local community by making the trail an enjoyable place to excerise.”

Muhlenberg County Judge Executive, Rick Newman said, “The local Job Corps provides countless hours of community service to our community for a multitude of projects.  We appreciate the students taking time to invest in the beautification of our Rails to Trails.”  Muhlenberg Job Corps has been involved in community service to Muhlenberg County for forty years.
