The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center’s Military Club and student volunteers provided parking assistance for the week-long fair held at the Muhlenberg County Ag & Convention Center, June 7-11, 2016.  Muhlenberg Job Corps students have parked cars for numerous events in the county, including high school track meets and football games.

Students are required to perform community service hours, and collectively the students earned 929 hours serving this event.  In addition to the valuable community service experience students received, the Military Club also received $1,400 from the Fair Board for the group’s work during the week.   That money is used to purchase uniforms for the Military Club and flags for the center.

The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center provides academic and career technical education to disadvantaged youth.  The Center offers training in health careers and heavy industry pathways.  If you know of someone in need of our program, please contact (270) 377-3269.
