Aaron Sampler, a Kentucky teen who’s battling cancer has a simple wish for his 16th birthday and that is to receive a mailbox full of birthday cards and wishes. Aaron was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic t-cell 2 Leukemia right before his 13th birthday.
As soon as the students at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center heard of Aaron’s wish, office and classroom operations turned into mayhem. Caring staff purchased cards and the students and staff jumped to the opportunity to fil out each card with words of encouragement, scripture, poems, and the obvious, birthday wishes.
The center director, Peter LaFleur, went above all and issued Aaron with a “Most Inspirational Bulldog Award” which was a certificate and a stuffed mascot!
The staff and students of the Muhlenberg Job Corps wish only the best for Aaron, and they hope their FedEx package of 175 cards and award lifted his spirits.
