Muhlenberg Job Corps Places Third in Fine Arts Competition
Muhlenberg Job Corps students competed against 20 other Job Corps centers in the Philadelphia Region Fine Arts Competition. Muhlenberg placed third overall out of 20 centers in the region. Muhlenberg had two students finish first and second in the Oils and Acrylics division, one student to place third in the Textile & Jewelry division, and one first place finish in the Creative Writing division. Amber Massey and Randi Anderson placed first and second respectively in Oils/Acrylics, April Skinner finished third in the Textile & Jewelry division. Amber Massey’s poem “The Boogieman” captured first place in the Creative Writing division.
Muhlenberg students work under the supervision of Barbara Kirk, Arts and Crafts instructor. The Fine Arts Competition is held annually in Philadelphia. Muhlenberg students traditionally place high in this competition. Congratulations to Ms. Kirk and her students for a job well done.
