In celebration of National Day of Peace, the Kentucky Job Corps Coalition made their presence known at the state capital the morning of September 21, 2016. Seven Job Corps Centers reside in Kentucky and all were represented at the Y2Y Peace March (Youth 2 Youth, Partners 4 Peace) in honor of this day. They walked proudly with anti-bullying banners in hand alongside Frankfort City Police Officers. The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center Y2Y Ambassadors and S.A.V.E. (Students Against Violence Everywhere) members did an amazing job representing the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center.
Youth 2 Youth is a violence prevention initiative created and led by Job Corps students nationwide. During Y2Y week, students engaged peers and community members via activities and events aimed at curbing bullying and violence in their communities.
