On February 9th, Job Corps National Groundhog Job Shadow Day, Muhlenberg Job Corps staff and students had the opportunity to experience first hand at the workings of Kentucky government when they visited prominent leaders of the Kentucky commonwealth.
Students had the opportunity to meet and talk with Melinda Prunty, State Representative for District 15; C.B. Embry, State Senator for District 6; and Derrick Ramsey, Secretary of the Kentucky Labor Cabinet. The Muhlenberg students had the opportunity to ask questions and share with each their background stories that led them to the Job Corps program.
Secretary Ramsey highly encouraged the students to continue their education and training through the many apprenticeship programs offered through the Kentucky cabinet.
