Muhlenberg Job Corps & Law Enforcement Officers go for the Net

The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center men’s basketball team is currently gearing up for the spring championship tournament. On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, the team was excited to display their talent during a friendly game against the local law enforcement officers. The police officers took all seriousness to the floor. They challenged one another during four fifteen minute casual games with MJCC winning overall.

Tommy Nantz, police officer with the Muhlenberg County Police Department stated, “We had a lot of fun playing the students and learned a lot from their schooling they delivered. We appreciate the opportunity to meet them all and look forward to playing them again soon.”

As always, MJCC truly appreciates the officers taking time out of their busy schedules for a little casual ball handling. This is just one of the many ways MJCC builds bridges with the community. The local law enforcement officers are not rare faces to the Muhlenberg center. They visit quite frequently for random safety drive through visits, staff training, special events, and as classroom guest speakers.
