The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center hosted a Center Industry Council meeting that focused mainly on the Pharmacy Technology trade.

The purpose of the meeting was to build additional partnerhips and job placement opportunities for center graduates.  Mike Romesburg, Workforce Initiatives Lead Manager for CVS Pharmacies from Atlanta, GA attended the meeting and visited the pharmacy technology students in the classroom.  He stressed to the students the importance of soft skills, phone etiquette, empathy with resolution, and problem solving skills were very important to the pharmaceutical field. 

Romesburg also shared that CVS has several medical call centers that are begging for hire.  They hire full-time with benefits and start out $12.50/hour with a salary increase after training is complete.  After reiewing the Medical Office Support eTAR, he stated the call center jobs would be a great fit for those students.

CVS is one of the leading pharmacy chains in the United States and is a great supporter of the Job Corps program.
