The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center recently developed a new Work Based Learning and Leisure Time Employment partnership with ARC Automotive, Inc., of Morgantown.  ARC Automotive is a global manufacturer that produces a full line of automotive airbag inflators, with 60 years of design expertise and inflator technology.

Currently, the center has thirty eight students working various shifts, but a bulk of the students work two twelve hour shifts during the weekends and have committed to give up their weekend time in order to save money for transitional needs when they leave the program.

In the above photo, several of the students were recognized for displaying positive employability skills for hard work and perfect attendance.  Mike Bratcher, Training Coordinator/HR Specialist said, “We at ARC are proud to be a part of the Job Corps program in preparing its youth to be successful in today’s challenging job market.”

Management and staff are extremely proud of these young adults!  They are slowly paving their path to a successful future!
