On Saturday April 3rd Muhlenberg Job Corps Center in partnership with Muhlenberg SOAR hosted a socially distanced Easter scavenger event called “I Spy.” Several staff including the Business Community Liaison, Work Based Learning Coordinator, Executive Admin Assistant and Admissions Counselor represented MJCC at this community event. This free event started at Longest Elementary where children were given goody bags as well as an “I Spy” map of items available to find. Characters were stationed at several locations such as Pogue Chevrolet, Madisonville Community College and Paradise Park where items were also placed so children could check them off their list. The scavenger hunt concluded at the Art for All in Central City where each participant was given an egg and prize while able to also meet a white Easter bunny. This event saw participation from around 130 children from the Muhlenberg County area and left staff ready to help again next year!
