Muhlenberg Job Corps celebrates the Military Child

On Saturday, May 2nd, the Wendell H. Ford Military Regional Training Center celebrated a day of fun for the military children in Western Kentucky. The Muhlenberg Job Corps leaders of the Student Government Association and the LIVE Performance Club were honored to be volunteers at this event. The events were kicked off by a duet performance singing The National Anthem by students Kaitlyn Hunter and David Rogers. All students volunteered working fun booths, assisted with a scavenger hunt, games, face painting, and bounce houses. Sarah Majors, the KY National Guard Readiness Support Assistant, stated “the students were a wonderful help, attentive and were very good with the kids.” Majors stated over one hundred children had fun at the event, and she looks forward to hosting it again next year with a much larger crowd.

The Muhlenberg Job Corps is thankful for the opportunity to support our local community and local national guard families!
