During a couple weeks in July, several students and staff of the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center have moved out the Greenville library so the library can begin their remodel. These guys have put in numerous hours of manual labor and has been a very positive reflection in our community. A huge thank you goes out to Scottie Brooks, Brian Hancock, and Joseph McConnell for their efforts supervising and working alongside our students.
Janet Harris, Director of Muhlenberg County Libraries has literally had nothing but praises about the work of our students and staff. Harris said, “I know they have worked hard and I appreciate it more than you and them can imagine, they have been awesome! You also have some awesome supervisors! They really are great with the kids!”
Karen Robinson, Business Community Liaison stated, “this is what we’re about, serving and assisting our community. When our students receive praise and compliments for their efforts like the previously mentioned, it ignites a whole new drive in them. We appreciate the support from our community and enjoy giving back.”
