The Duncan Center Museum & Art Gallery is proudly displaying the art of current and former residents of Muhlenberg Job Corps during the month of October 2013. During their Job Corps enrollment, students are offered the Arts & Crafts program as an extracurricular activity during their personal time on center. Many students find great pleasure expressing themselves through art; and students find it provides a quiet time to enjoy with others of the same talent. Students also have found that art relaxes the mind and gives them a sense of well being. Barbara Kirk, the Arts & Crafts Instructor is always amazed at the many talent of her students. The students whose artwork is displayed at the show have graduated from Muhlenberg Job Corps, advanced to new careers, or sought higher education through advanced training or college.
The Muhlenberg Job Corps is very pleased and honored the Duncan Center has offered to display the many talents of their students. Individuals can view the art gallery on Facebook under Duncan Center Museum & Art Gallery, or visit the Duncan Center website at www.duncancentermuseum.com.
