On Thursday, May 5th Health and Wellness staff and four students attended an Open House at H.A.N.D.S., a program sponsored by the Muhlenberg County Health Department.

H.A.N.D.S. – Health Access Nurturing Development Services – is a program that is free to all first time mothers and/or fathers.  H.A.N.D.S. helps promote education of new parents with home visits.  The goal of H.A.N.D.S. is to promote healthy pregnancies, births, healthy child development, safe homes, and self-sufficient families.  H.A.N.D.S. celebrated an open house May 5th to honor Mother’s Day.

Muhlenberg Job Corps students and staff who attended this open house were Jamie Atkinson, Katelyn Sales, Dariann Skaggs (LPN), Darion Alsobrooks, Tiara Pillow, and Amie Swink (LPN).
