Muhlenberg Graduate Success: Jordan Hood

Since leaving the Job Corps program Jordan was able to purchase his own car.

Welding Graduate Jordan Hood is making his way in the world after completing his trade at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center. Jordan joined the Job Corps program after he had dropped out of high school following the death of his brother. He know that he had the potential for greatness and wanted to make himself to the best he could be. While in the program Jordan was also a dorm president, a part of the volleyball team, member of the Y2Y organization and was a member of Student Government. He is currently employed as a welder at Voestalpine Roll Forming Corp and plans in the future to continue his education. Jordan says Job Corps taught him what it was like to be an adult and the responsibilities that come about with it and have changed him to the man he is today. He went from being a shy and quiet person to now having the confidence to talk with anyone and ask questions that can help further his career. Jordan says, “When in doubt, choose change. That’s what I did and the change I chose has truly been remarkable.”
