Kentucky State Police Officer, Beau Mosley was a guest speaker of the Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) class at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center, April 8, 2014. Officer Mosely spoke of the commercial safety driving rules and regulations that commercial truck drivers must comply with while operating regular vehicles and big rigs. One topic he covered was the driving hour limit for over the road truck drivers who are only allowed eleven hours driving time and then must take a 10 hour break. Officer Mosley conducted a thorough presentation of a mock pre-trip inspection on a vehicle and stressed the importance of the law that the inspection has to be completed. He also showed videos on drugs being transported in trucks, the problems it will lead to and how it would affect the CDL license if caught transporting illegal drugs. This subject alone caught the attention of the entire class. Office Mosley is one of the many representatives who takes time out of his busy schedule to educate students at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center.
