The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center (MJCC) along with all seven Kentucky Job Corps Center’s participated in the Kentucky Job Corps Extravaganza recruitment fair. The event sponsored by the Kentucky Outreach and Admissions/CTS providers and was held at the Owensboro Sports Arena on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. All seven centers proudly displayed their trade opportunities to prospective students. The event was kicked off by Cody Pardue, Heavy Equipment Operator student of MJCC singing the national anthem, followed by a high strong performance by the MJCC Step Team.
The event was covered remote live by radio personality Brian Jackson of FM 97.1. Students from each center had the privileged of being interviewed for live broadcasting sharing their struggles before Job Corps and bragged about the certifications and skills obtained since enrolled in the free program. The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Jazz band kept the audience entertained throughout the day with fitting song choices.
